Secluded Mini Breaks on a Private Beach

Our wonderful little Beach Hut is situated on an isolated, totally private cove which is invisible from the coast path above. Available for 2 people to rent for for 2 night breaks, this unique cottage offers the chance to really escape for a few days!

Where else can you enjoy your own private beach, totally isolated, with the most amazing views of the stunning South Devon coastline? Imagine lighting up the BBQ, cracking open a bottle of wine, jumping in the wood-fired hot tub and just chilling out listening to the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks…

The Property:
The Beach Hut has a double bed that you climb up a ladder to get to, a large table with bench seats and two gorgeous hammocks to snug up in while gazing out to sea. The small kitchen area has all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery that you need for your stay and a double gas hob & grill, fridge/freezer and sink. There is mains water and electricity, so there is lighting and a small water heater which provides hot water for the bathroom and kitchen. The hut has a small woodburner inside, so if the evening turns chilly you will be still be toasty and warm indoors. There is also a gorgeous small bathroom which has a shower, toilet and basin.

Outside there is a fantastic wood-fired hot tub for you to soak in at the end of a hard day relaxing! Just light the woodburner and keep it fed for a couple hours and the hot tub will be ready for use… just perfect!

Amenities:
Hotel quality white bed linen, bath robes, bath & hand towels are all provided but please bring your own outside beach towels. We also supply tea-towels, environmentally friendly cleaning materials and recycled paper toilet rolls. We provide salt & pepper, cooking oil, Fair Trade organic tea, coffee, sugar and fresh organic milk for you. Logs are provided in the outside store, but please do collect any driftwood to add to the pile! There is an axe there for you to use to make your kindling, but if you want to buy any ready made or want firelighters then please bring these with you.

Access:
Access to the Beach Hut is from Carswell Farm, where you can park your car in a designated garage. You then you have a 15 minute walk, including a steep path, down to the cove. There is no access for vehicles, so you will need to carry everything you want in a rucksack and wear sturdy footwear.

Meal hampers: 
We offer a number of hampers which can be pre-ordered and placed in the Beach Hut ready for your arrival, so you don’t have to worry about bringing food with you. Check out what food hampers are available.

Events: 
Throughout the year we offer a unique collection of workshops such as foraging and safari tours, here at Carswell Farm. It’s a great way to experience something new, in the great outdoors.

Please note:
Due to the remote location and difficult access, unfortunately single occupancy, children under 18 and dogs are not allowed under any circumstances. Please be aware that there is no internet, 4G or mobile phone signal at The Beach Hut.

Prices & availability:
Please check the availability calendar for prices and live availability. Arrival day can be:

MONDAY (arrival after 3pm on Monday and departure by 11am on Wednesday/Friday), for 2 or 4 nights.
WEDNESDAY (arrival after 3pm on Wednesday and departure by 11am on Friday, Sunday or Monday), for 2,4 or 5 nights.
FRIDAY (arrival after 3pm on Friday and departure by 2pm on Sunday, Monday or Wednesday), for 2,3 or 5 nights.

The Beach Hut is extremely popular and usually sells out very quickly so if you want to secure your stay, don’t delay!
